CRIMPiT makes preparing sealed snacks quick and easy using bread, pastry, or wraps. Their products, like the CRIMPiT Toastie Maker and Wrap Sealer, offer simple and tasty options.

Founded by Ian and Mike in 2021, CRIMPiT started as a solution for quick, high-protein snacks. Since then, it has reached over 700,000 UK homes.

Committed to local manufacturing, CRIMPiT products are made in Britain. They also support social causes, donating over £60,000 to the Trussell Trust food bank charity.

Checkout Extensibility

When CRIMPiT transitioned to Shopify from their previous e-commerce platform, they needed to ensure their checkout performance was maintained and even improved.

Given Shopify's checkout code restrictions, we utilized the available Shopify APIs to migrate CRIMPiT’s existing interface:

  • Checkout Extensibility
  • Shopify Functions
  • Branding API

The result is a higly customizable checkout experience that significantly boosts customer satisfaction, conversion rates and average order value.

Royal Mail integration, multiple automations

The store used Royal Mail as a carrier, and label creation had a series of special requirements. The only way to achieve this was through a custom integration.

We developed a custom app to automatically:

  • Create labels with Royal Mail
  • Update customers with tracking information

The result was an integration that handled an enormous amount of daily requests and optimized server resources, achieving very low server costs.

We also built a series of automations around fulfillment using native features, helping the business minimize third-party dependencies.

The above automations saved thousands of hours of manually managing operations.

Global expansion

To support CRIMPiT’s expansion into the U.S. and Europe, we established localized expansion Shopify stores.

We performed migration and integration of features across stores, localized configurations and content, and a custom redirection feature.

As a result, CRIMPiT successfully scaled beyond the UK, with content and features tailored to each market.
